We are proud of our partner and their experts and teams and what they have achieved. ICEYE is a partner of several new space technology, Earth observation, and GIS organizations around the world. Together, ICEYE delivers world-first capabilities in Earth observation. ICEYE launched SAR satellites for global monitoring to detect changes, gain insights, and enable better decisions. ICEYE provides broad access to timely and reliable radar satellite imaging for a variety of industries.

The world currently faces three key problems around Earth Observation Data: reliability, timeliness, and access. To address these issues directly, the ICEYE radar satellite constellation is here to change the way we look at our world from space.

1. Reliability

Radar imaging makes it possible to see the surface of the Earth through clouds and even in total darkness. Governments and businesses can now look at their locations of interest 24/7.

2. Timeliness

The ICEYE satellite constellation provides new images of the same location every hour. Tracking all changes that happen even within individual days is now possible.

3. Access

To make better decisions, you need the right information at the right time. ICEYE provides easy and flexible access to Earth observation data.

ICEYE-X2 - Continuous Advancements in Small Satellite SAR

ICEYE's overall mission is to enable better decision making for everyone by providing timely and reliable Earth observation data. To achieve that goal, the company develops its own synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) sensor technologies suitable for satellites under 100 kg in weight. ICEYE-X2 features a range of technology improvements to increase the versatility and quality of the imaging data compared to ICEYE-X1. Improvements relate to component choices, subsystem interfaces, software code, operations procedures, communication links, and optimization of power management. ICEYE-X2 possesses various imaging modes to provide imagery at high resolution and alternatively with a very wide swath to support different types of use cases.

The ICEYE-X2 satellite was delivered into orbit via Spaceflight's SSO-A: SmallSat Express mission aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on December 3, 2018, from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.
